Restaurant and hotel recommendations in Le Marais district
Hotel de la Bretonnerie.
Thanks very much! I will check it out.
We stayed at the Hôtel Saint Louis en l'Isle. It's nice, great location, and the morning breakfast is helpful. Happy travels!
The Hotel St. Louis-Marais is very nice; a sister property to the Hotel St. Louis en l’Ile (we’ve stayed at both). The Hotel Turenne on rue Turenne is also nice (right around the corner from the place des Vosges.
Restaurants: Robert et Louis (wonderful traditional food including steak frites), Cafe Breizh (great buckwheat galettes and dessert crepes), Les Temps des Cerises (wonderful small restaurant with seasonal menu), Le Cafe du Musees (great beef bourguignon), Pain Vin Fromage (cheesy things like fondue).
The Marais is a great neighborhood!
PS we stayed at the Hotel de La Bretonnerie and didn’t love it as much as the other hotels I mentioned previously.
We loved our stay here last December.
Thanks very much. It looks very nice, but they are booked during our stay.
Try searching on booking.com. You can put in your dates and any other applicable filters and it will return only available properties. We've booked two or three times in Paris through booking.com (and actually found Le Beau Marais through there but we booked direct). You can filter for only those with a review of 9 or greater (which is how I usually start my search), then look at the map view where you can zoom in on the area you're interested in. Read the reviews, which can only be made by people who booked through the platform and stayed in the property.
If you find something you like, google it to see if you can book it direct. You may (or may not... ) save money that way. Suggest you only book refundable accommodations.
Good luck!
I've used Bookings before. I will see what it can do this time. Thanks for suggesting it.
