We are a multigenerational family of 11 who stayed at the Rick Steves recommended Cler Hotel in July 2025. This hotel checked all the boxes: clean rooms, with no rugs, and no pets allowed. The front desk /concierge staff were the best, and most helpful . In particular Sujit was most kind and accommodating, as was Basith. The breakfast was very good with a large selection of eggs, crepes, baguettes and pastries.Great location on Rue Cler, this hotel is a gem, and highly recommend.
I second the recommendation. I stayed at the Cler Hotel in 2012. It was comfortable, clean and quiet. It sounds like they improved the breakfast. When I stayed there, it was basic.
Oh thank you fmquattro! I am just beginning to plan 3-4 nights in Paris nxt July 2026 for my 11 multi-gen family stay! Can you believe it!? I will check this out! I know I need to do this well in advance! I love this forum!
Thanks for your recommendation. Booked at the Cler Hotel for 10 days, Jan 2026.
My grown daughter and I stayed there in April. We loved it. Very comfortable, excellent staff and loved the area. While a lot of the things we wanted to see were not very close by (other than the Eiffel Tower of course), we enjoy walking and are accustomed to public transportation so that was a non-issue for us. Also, it was nice to be able to walk over and see the Eiffel Tower twinkle so quickly.
