Bustronome?

Has anyone taken this bus/dining experience? Curious if it’s worth the $$$… thank you in advance!

I was unaware of this! Looking at the Website, it sounds interesting. Apparently there’s a London version, too.

So in Paris, 6-course dinner for €100, or €130 including 3 glasses of wine, a half-liter of water, and coffee or tea. Kids 12 or under get a 3 course meal (current main is penne Bolognese) for €35. Sounds a lot more elegant than a food truck!

Then there’s a 4-course menu for lunch, with a slightly shorter driving route route. I wonder whether the bus is rolling the entire time, or stops at some point, after making the circuit shown on the Website?

And do diners buckle into their seats? Seat belts might not heighten the mood for dinner, but might be an obligatory safety measure. The belt could help keep your napkin in place, too.

And the multi-language tour narration … maybe a tiny bit of shades of a hop-on, hop-off tourist bus, although with 4-6 courses of fine dining, less hopping off (except for the Arc d’ Triomphe excursion?), and a slick bus with panoramic windows, not an open top.

We took it in 2017 and loved it! Very good food, lovely seeing the sights at night. The bus moves very slowly. I’d d do it again.

Cyn- It looks pretty neat! Thinking about taking it around the city to see all the holiday lights!
Laurel- would you consider it for a holiday meal? I made reservations at Bouillion Julien from some good reviews, but since then I’ve heard some not so favorable ones. (Been to Paris before, but taking the family this time. I’m ocd about planning so the holidays are hard lol Of course anywhere in the city of light will make for a memorable experience!)

I think it would be a memorable holiday meal! It was quite festive even in October.

Laurel! I’m going to weigh this with the rest of the family and get a consensus! Thank you for sharing your experience!

I have done this 3 times total!
First in 2016 by myself on Christmas Night
Second with a good friend in 2018
and lastly this summer on a lovely, romantic date!

Each time it was an absolute blast and very delicious. The views are amazing, the music light and fun, and the food is actually quite good. I highly recommend it.
