Hi all, we are heading to Paris in March with two teenagers ages 10 and 15. We are looking for a great neighborhood where we could find an Airbnb or apartment to rent. Would Marais be a good option? I keep seeing that Rue Cler isn’t a great option any more but I’m not sure why.
Maybe the Latin Quarter where all the college age kids are. How much are you spending per night?
I’m not sure. I’m pretty flexible on costs. We’ve been unable to travel for 2 years so I’ve saved up!
you should be in the general France forum ...
You might try the Paris forum on Tripadvisor.com. Lots of Paris experts and Paris residents there can help you.
What do you, your teenager and pre-teen like to do? What places re you planning to visit? Are you guys hipsters, traditionalists, etc? Are you looking for a two bedroom? A budget would really help. And, I agree that you might get more answers in the France forum. The Tripadvisor forum is a good suggestion but I bet you will get responses there asking for more details about your budget, what you plan to do, etc. as well as the suggestion that for a first trip, you might want to consider a hotel. Good luck!

Plenty of Paris experts and residents here on the RS forum. JHK (above) is one of them and her advice is always excellent.
The Marais is my favorite area, for any age.
We loved the St. Germain area with our teens. We stayed in an “apartment” (actually two separate rooms) at the Hotel Residence des Artes. The rooms were huge for Paris (this was our 3rd trip, first one with kids). The area was perfect. Centrally located. Tons of shops and restaurants all around. Several metro stops and the RER just around the corner. Charming old streets to explore. Really felt like we were in the middle of everything, in a good way.
