Has anyone done this and is it worthwhile or a cheesy touristy thing?
The cruise is delightful, particularly after sunset when the Eiffel Tower is sparkling. However, don't expect good food on the cruise & you probably will want to pay attention to what you are seeing from the cruise, not the food, anyway. I'd look for a place to eat near where you get off the boat.
Thank you for this description. It is somewhat what I expected, wasn't counting on Michelin Star experience but this helps me. I think we will enjoy other restaurants while there enough so we will take in the sights!
If you'd rather just see the sights and have a better dinner elsewhere, I enjoyed my evening cruise with Vedettes du Pont Neuf. It's the general one hour sightseeing tour (they also have a dinner cruise). Just pick a ticket time after the sunset time (listed on the ticketing page), they'll get you to the time when it sparkles. https://www.vedettesdupontneuf.com/home/
Thank you!
Absolutely good advice not only for Paris but everywhere there are dinner cruises on a river. These are tantamount to corporate enterprises, they know their market are tourists, but facilities and staff are not even at the level of a weekly river cruise such as Viking.
