Check out www.bandbnormandie.com. We loved staying there and it's only about 12 miles from Bayeux, just outside Villers-Bocage. The 300 year old family farm is totally modern for guests and Odile's breakfasts are to die for. La Ferme Du Pressoir is 90 minutes via motorway from Mont St. Michel and about 30 minutes from the D Day beaches. We picked up our rental car at the Caen railroad station and drove to Bayeux, about 15 miles, the first night. We spent 6 nights with Odile and Jacques and their two sons on their working farm. After MSM, we drove around the bay to Cancale, about 20 miles, for a great seafood lunch on the quay with MSM visible across the bay. We then took the back roads back to Villers-Bocage stopping along the way in small villages to buy local cheese, meats, and Calvados. One of our most memorable trips to France.
Thank you so much! This is exactly what we were looking for!
Stayed at Hotel de St. Croix (or pretty close to that spelling), which is a Bed and Breakfast in Bayeux within walking distance to everything - restaurants, tapestry museum, etc. Lots of nice shops. We took the Overlord tours, full day, to Normandy beaches and enjoyed it so much. The B&B I mentioned was lovely...hostesss so nice, and the breakfasts were to die for....no need for lunch ! She keeps a spotless big old home right in the center of town, and you can park your car on property or across the street. We loved it and recommend it highly.

La Heroullerie is a B&B run by Dale Booth and his wife. We toured the Normandy beaches with Dale (he's wonderful!) - he now has his own tour business. We have never stayed at his B&B but the pictures on line look wonderful.
