Avignon France, restaurant recommendation, Maison Nani

We are here in Avignon for four days, and had good meals at Mr Steve's recommended restaurants. Today we found a restaurant we feel is worthy of recommending. The restaurant is "Maison Nani" near the recommended hotel Autour du Petit Paradis. A two $$ price, excellent food, clean, super service, nice location, very comfortable !! : 29 Rue Theodore Abanei, only a few meters from main road rue de ls Republic. Good choice, ... going back tomorrow night. FYI we also liked Apicerie restaurant (popular with RS followers).

You don't say how you discovered this gem, but let me guess. You did what we learned to do early in our 200+ days of traveling in France-- you don't need a guide book to eat well in France. Its seems there are no bad restaurants in France-- they quickly go out of business because the French do not tolerate the low standard of cooking that pervades USA restaurants. Forget the guide book. If you like the menu posted outside and the way the place looks, eat there and you will love it.
