Hotel Athanor in Beaune, is a good hotel, wonderful breakfast, great location, good value. On our two week trip in France we stayed in Athanor hotel for three days, and were rented room 21, a room on the third floor (their floor 2); please note the staircase was a steep spiral set of stairs, extremely difficult, and the bath was on upper level from bedroom with even more steep stairs. If you need a mid night visit to bathroom this could be very difficult and hazardous. Only those that are agile and climb stairs with confidence should be given this room. We loved our time in Beaune; a guided trip to wine country and villages is highly recommended !!
