Appartement for 4

I will be in Paris this summer for 5 nights with my husband and 2 teenaged sons. We would like to get an apartment rather than a hotel. We don't mind being away from the centre of Paris but want to be on a Metro line. I don't even know where to start looking!

Any suggestions for arrondissements or even specific VRBO or AirBnB rentals would be appreciated.

Try posting this on the France section and you should get some responses. This section is for reviews of places someone has stayed. Hope this helps. We have used VRBO in other cities and fortunately never had a problem, all were great experiences. Just be sure to get a place with AC for Paris in summer. Good luck.

Brennadube, here is a link to our favorite place to rent apartments in Paris and specifically apartments that are in the very well located 1st arrondissement near the Louvre and easy access to the Metro. Each of these will house at least 4 guests on this link. You will find something for any budget and Homeaway is a wonderful company to deal with. When we lived in Paris, they found us a great apartment.

Below is information from another "Postee" on apartments:

You might like the apartments and homes available at Airbnb. https://www.airbnb.com/s/Paris--France?guests=5

www.homeaway.com also has some great choices like these two which would allow 5 guests >

We often rent apartments in Paris from Homeaway. In fact, we have lived in Paris long term in an apartment.
Some do refund upon departure and others credit your card very shortly. It depends and you will need to ask. You will get your deposit back if nothing is damaged or missing. If you rent from Homeaway, you can purchase the Homeaway Carefree Rental Insurance just in case you need to cancel at any point. That is what we do. Homeaway has not had any problems with apartment rental crackdowns in Paris because they register and pay their taxes unlike many on other middleman sites like Airbnb , VRBO. etc.

Oh yes, brushtim, that was something I posted on another thread. It's true, Homeaway is our rental agent of choice and not just n Paris but worldwide.
