We are preparing to leave a wonderful stay at the Iris de Marais; highly recommended in the Rick Steves/Steve Smith community. A true French Amboise treasure in a most perfect setting; in the middle of old Amboise / Centre.
Built in the 1600s - 1800s and remodeled thru the years, this B and B is rich in character, charm, art, and hospitality. We loved our stay.
Rooms are designed with a suite in each, large to and quiet. A very private sleep though right off the main area. The quality of the experience is classic old school B and B with a wonderful breakfast and excellent conversation if wanted.
Please consider Iris de Marais if you are inclined to have a true French experience and filled with art, creativity, and life. Viva la France.
PS Amboise is a perfect location for a wonderful French village adventure: Castles, wine, dining, and nature. Tre Bon.
