We had a beautiful candlelight meal with our hosts and fellow travelers at the Chateau de la Villaine B&B. If you are looking for an authentic traveling experience and the most amazing food try this B&B. The hosts and owners serve dinner 3 days a week if you request it. It costs extra, but comes with wine pairings by Adriaan and a world class meal prepared by Joke. We had roast duck that even my picky 10 year old loved. (I hear she can prepare a fabulous vegetarian meal too!) The Chateau is beautiful but homey with great beds, fresh flowers, a wonderful shower and lovely grounds to wander. This was the only B&B in Loire that I could find that offered this wonderful evening meal.
