We are planning a girls trip to Paris, late August, first part of September. Any recommendations for Hotel/Lodging in a location (neighborhood)that would be easy access by walking or catching public transportation. Looking for budget friendly place to stay. It doesn't have to fancy or frilly, small and quaint would be great! Thanks for any advice
What amount per night does Budget Friendly mean to you?
We stayed at the Sublim Eiffel Hotel. It was quirky (black light in the rooms- you can choose your colors, blue, pink or yellow, glow in the dark shower, etc.), budget friendly, staff friendly, good breakfasts, many rooms with views of the Eiffel. Across the street from transportation, budget friendly restaurants in walking distance, interesting neighborhood. I really enjoyed my 3 nights there! Fun and memorable!
You should post this on the France Forum ( Destination Q & A section) as well as use the Search option found at the top of the page.
You'll find more responses to your questions by doing so.
It would also be helpful to define what your idea of budget friendly is cost wise.
Lastly, buying and reading the RS Guidebook provides first timers with a wealth of information.
Enjoy your trip.
Purchase the Rick Steves Paris Book, it will show you where to stay, eat, how to avoid lines at sites and overall how to get around (metro, bus, etc)
You'll likely find better prices and availabity of rooms innlste August than in September !! Occupancy rate goes up in September .
