On the last night of my trip in early Oct., I will be in Paris and am looking for a hotel around E200 (single). I will be arriving at Gare Montparnasse around mid-day Saturday and flying out of CDG Sunday morning. I usually take RER to the airport and am looking for a hotel convenient to train and RER/bus to airport.

€200 is a generous budget for a single room and it might be enough to get you into the recommended Hotel Relais Medicis, between the Luxembourg RER stop and Odeon metro stop. Rick's Paris book lists cheaper options in that area, too, such as Hotel des 3 Colleges.

I liked the Hotel de la Paix Montpatnasse. It's not far from Luxembourg RER, although that may not be the RER line that goes to airport--I took the Air France bus to CDG from the Montparnasse station. Cute hotel; nice staff.

Yes, the Luxembourg RER stop does go to the airport.
