Visiting Helsinki first week of April

I will be staying in Helsinki for 4 days prior to taking a ferry to Tallinn to join a tour. I’ve checked out a few activities & finding many don’t start until May. I know many museums are closed on Mondays. Looking for suggestions on things to see & do that will be open in April. I like all kinds of activities but I have slowed down a bit since turning 70 so no more day long hikes.
Thanks

I visited Helsinki some years ago , and the city had a huge impact on me . It was one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited . Walk ( at a leisurely pace from the marketplace up through Esplanadi ( park ) and then along Bulevardi ( stop in Ekberg for coffee and pastry ) At the foot of Esplanadi is the Katajanokka area , and south of the center ( accessible by tram ) is Eira , both replete with wonderful examples of Art Nouveau architecture . I've never forgotten Helsinki , and I'll go back if I live long enough ( I'm 78 ) , the place is never far from my thoughts .

I was going to recommend doing architecture strolls, too. There's a great deal of eye candy in Helsinki.

The following information is based on planning done for summer trips in 2022 and 2023. I don't know that it's accurate for April, but the northern capitals don't shut down in the winter, so I'm pretty optimistic.

The National Museum and Amos Rex are both open on Mondays. Amos Rex has temporary exhibitions, so check the website to see whether you're interested in what will be shown while you're there. Check dates, because they tend to shut down while they set up the new exhibition.

I think the Iittala & Arabia Design Centre at Hameenie 135A (8th floor) is open on Mondays.

The City Museum may also be open on Mondays, but that is a rare museum I found disappointing. It seemed more for children.

It's possible the Design Museum is open on Mondays.
