Viking or Tallink Silja - which one is best?

My wife and two daughters (9&7) are heading to Stockholm this summer with the goal of taking the ferry to Helsinki for the day (then back to Stockholm).

Which Cruise line do you recommend? Rick is pretty neutral on the subject.

Viking has the reputation of being the more party-centric line. I've taken Silja and it was very nice. The rooms and amenities are going to be pretty much the same.
