I am planning an independent trip for 3 to Finland in late May, and booked a hotel near the Nuuksio national park. It is about 20 km out of Espoo. We will be coming from Turku by train and my plan was to take a taxi from the train station (they have a taxi queue, per the internet) to the hotel. A taxi fare estimator suggested it would be just under 50 euros. There is a bus that goes from a different location in Espoo to very close to the hotel, but one of the people traveling is my 78 year old mother, so I would like to make the trip less arduous by not including a jaunt across town to the bus. Has anyone any experience with this?

I don't know the area or your exact destination, but bus 242 might be an option from the train station. If the bus you really need doesn't depart from the train station, then I think that 50 euros is not an unreasonable expenditure for 3 people with their luggage.
