Rovaniemi, Finland to Helsinki, Finland

I am traveling to Scandinavia in December and will be in Finland for part of my trip. I plan on purchasing a Scandinavian Rail pass.

  1. Are there any limitations as to which trains you can use the pass on?
  2. The only trains I can find that go from Rovaniemi to Helsinki are night trains. Are there any trains that run during the day? If so, can I use the rail pass on it?
  3. I know that several trains require a reservation. How do I make a reservation when I have a rail pass?

I have done a lot of research and when I think I have found the answers, I get a stumbling block. Any information you can give would be wonderful.

There are daytime trains to Rovaniemi as well. Regarding how to make a reservation, that was answered the last time you asked the question.

A more important question is if a rail pass is a good idea or not.
