Rain gear for Iceland and Scandinavia

You want a lightweight waterproof raincoat/jacket. This will also help with wind. A poncho won't cut it.

Do a search on this site for lots of suggestions.

I have this one. It weighs just over 11oz. and packs into it's own pocket. It's kept me dry in downpours including Norway and Scotland.

For Iceland, I would also suggest you bring rain pants.

Been to Iceland and experienced serious rainfall and wind while walking about. I remained dry and comfortable using a proper hooded raincoat and rain pants. Visit REI if possible. A packable rain poncho? NOPE!
