Does anyone know of a local guide on Mariehamn? Or are you aware of a taxi that can be booked for several hours? I know there is a bus system but we need the flexibility of a taxi.

Mariehamn is a small town, the easiest way to get around is to walk. Or maybe rent a bike if you need to save a minute or two.
But if you really need a taxi, here are a few companies, you could contact them and ask what they would charge for several hours.

Thanks so much! I actually found a local tour company that will provide a driver/guide for a day trip on the island. It’s great to have the taxi info as backup.
