We've booked tickets for the Helsinki to Stockholm overnight sail on Tallink Sija line in September. Would appreciate any information/advise about reaching the pier from the CBD in Helsinki and to the CBD on arrival in Stockholm. TIA

On the Finnish side the ship docks very much in the city centre so the easiest way to get to the ship is to walk, or perhaps take the tram. On the Swedish side, Silja line uses Värtahamnen a bit outside the city centre, but it's easy reach by metro and bus.

I did this trip last week. In Helsinki, Trams 2 and 3 drop you off the closest to Olympia Terminal. When you arrive in Stockholm, Gärdet station is the closest Metro; using Google maps is helpful after leaving the terminal as there’s a bit of signage and the route is simple, but it’s not completely marked. Enjoy your voyage!

Thank you! I don't know what would be considered the Central Business District in Helsinki. But in Stockholm, take the metro to T-Centralen.
