In Rick Steve's book of Northern European Cruise Ports, he says to make a reservation for the Helsinki Panoramic Orientation Bus tour. We looked at the website and it says you can buy a Helsinki card and get the Panoramic Orientation Bus tour free with it (with the card you get other transportation). I emailed the company and they said to get tickets at the tour departure point or in advance at the Tickets & Tours by Stromma service point at the Helsinki Tourist info. If we do that, we can't get the tickets ahead of time as Rick recommends and they may fill up on the date we are there. Does anyone know how we can get the tickets ahead of time? Also, we want the Panoramic Orientation Bus tour, NOT the hop-on hop-off bus.
Thank you!
Kathy
When you get off the cruise ship, there will be two different brand hop on/hop off buses sitting there. Just take one of them. Helsinki is a relatively small city, and these buses are the easiest way to get around. And before the boat's leaving, the buses fill up fast on the return trip. The good news is that there will be another bus coming by every few minutes.
You cannot purchase tickets ahead of time. The Orientation Bus tour leaves at 10 am daily and you can purchase tics are several locations. I spoke to their office and they had said seats are always available.
Can we have an idea of the cost of this bus tour?
