Can anyone report on experience staying at hotel at Helsinki airport, to catch very early morning flight? Thank you.

I've stayed at the Hilton a couple of times. They have a very early continental breakfast that starts, I believe, at 4 am.
It's just a few minutes walk to the terminal.
The last time I stayed, I was told at check in that I was upgraded. When I went into the room, I didn't see anything special. Then I checked the bathroom. On the far side of the bathroom was a door leading to a private sauna.

I have stayed at the Scandic Helsinki airport a couple times. They will provide a more limited, but very nice breakfast if you leave before the buffet opens. And the buffet opens darn early. It was a short walk across a parting lot to the terminal. BTW the walking distances inside HKI are in my opinion unusually long, and no horizontal escalators.
