My husband and I are traveling to Helsinki the last week in August. We have traveled quite a bit in Europe including much of Scandinavia, but this is our first trip to Finland. Please share any and all ideas of how to spend our time. Discounting our travel times, we will have 4.5 days to spend. Thanks!

I just returned from a Norway in a Nutshell + Scandinavia, ending the trip in Helsinki - which I loved!
While there consider Oodi Library - incredible place. Also, you might want to take the ferry over to Tallinn. I enjoyed that last Friday - but plan on a longer time for the ferry crossing, as they want you there about one hour before departure. It also takes a little bit to walk into town and back to ferry. But you clearly have the time in your itinerary.
