My wife and I would like to travel thru Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania & St. Petersburg. We would like to go with a group tour. Has anyone toured the Baltic countries on a bus tour?
No but we recently flew from St. Petersburg to Tallinn then picked up a rent a car and flew home from Lithuania. Driving was easy!
You can check out pictures of our trip at our personal blog.

Thank you for the reply, but I do enjoy the insight and efficiency that a guided tour offers. I have found two companies that cover the Baltic countries - Odyssey Tours and Roads Scholars tours. HAs anyone had experiences with either of these tour companies?
I did a tour of these places using Gate 1 Travel - I have taken 8 - 10 tours with this company (Just returned from Japan) and would recommend them.
Prices are great, hotels are really nice, guides are wonderful.
On this trip and all their trips ...... we had a very modern clean bus and spent at least 2 or 3 nights in each city.
I say "go for it" you will love it.
You may want to check Explore! travel and sister company Exodus travels. They both have UK and US websites.

I am considering one with Smartours. You might check it out.
OAT tours are offering a tour called "The Baltic Capitals & St. Petersburg". I have been an independent traveler for over 20 years but went on their tour of the "Crossroads of the Adriatic" last fall, and was very impressed ! The maximum group is 16 on a 30 passenger bus. We were so impressed with them that we are thinking of taking this Baltic Capital tour. Check them out.
Another vote for OAT. Went on their Baltics & St. P trip in 2011, with an extension to Moscow. Excellent guide & local guides, hotels, food, bus & drivers, off-the-beaten-path & in-depth experiences as well as the biggies. In fact, some of the unexpected things became some of the most memorable. OAT's maximum group size of 16 is a huge plus. If you like choral music and/or folk dance, there's knock-out summer festivals that rotate around the Baltic capital cities.
