Which London sweetshops are your favorites? Also, which candies in these shops are not to be missed? Thanks!
Retro sweet (not candy over here) shops have become popular over the last few years, here's a list from Timeout:

See this post I did a while back on chocolate in London: https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/food-drink/chocolate-in-london
A palatte heads up. Candy bars in the UK are made with glucose syrup rather than the high-fructose corn syrup that we yanks are familiar with in the States. Makes a BIG difference in terms of texture and quality of sweetness and probably why Emma's nephew wasn't a fan of Hersheys. I adore either Cadbury's Orange or Twisted bar when I'm seeking a sugar fix whilst walking about London. Both easily found in local shops and markets.
I love Thornton's
I'm sure they have a store(s) somewhere in London...I always stock up when we visit my sister in Portsmouth every few years. I've had her mail it to me, my mom brings me bags home as she visits every year, and we always come home with 10 bags of fudge...the butter tablet, the chocolate smothered fudge... they have some nice chocolates as well, but the fudge does it for me :)
Oh oh - Hotel Chocolat as well!

We go to the one on Shaftsbury Road, but again, I'm sure they are everywhere. My husband goes into Forbidden Planet (with all the sci-fi stuff) and I go across the road to Hotel Chocolat. They have a big display of chocolate tablets and 6 pack chocolates amongst other things...I usually end up with a half dozen or so as they easily fit in the luggage. OMG - I can't wait to go back to London...lol.
The place Ray refers to is in Ludgate Hill, near the top of the hill, on the south side of the street, just around the corner from the Youth Hostel.
Emma, I'd love to bring over a kilo of Peanut butter M and M's in November.
Alas, I have no will power and would arrive empty handed.
And I can bring a couple bags in October, in exchange for Cadbury Cream Eggs which are only available here around Easter. Is the same true in England?
You can get Cadbury's Cream Eggs anytime here, not my fav tho.
Green & Blacks, white vanilla or milk almond are excellent.
My personal fav is Kinder Bueno or good old Ferrero Rocher, but not British.
Peanut Butter Kit Kat Chunky is another fav.
