Yorkshire moors tour

We will be in York in May and would like to find a guide with vehicle for a day tour of the Yorkshire Moors including Whitby. I found Yorkshire True Tours and was wandering if anyone had experience with this or another tour company you might recommend.

I seriously recommend visiting Ampleforth Abbey - it's in the North York Moors National Park, and a stunning place to see. I spent a few months in Ampleforth village - a wonderful area and easy to bus up from York on the Stephenson's bus. If you want an overnight in Ampleforth i can recommend a few places.

If you like crab, you MUST have Whitby crab while you're there. Absolutely amazing crab (and i grew up near Chesapeake Bay so i know crab!). I still daydream about Whitby crab!

There's a fantastic movie theatre in York, too. City Screen Picturehouse. A great cafe is inside that has lovely seating on the deck overlooking the river!

Thank you, I hadn't heard of this Abbey and will be sure to add it to our itinerary. The crab is also on my list now.
