Wonderful Helpers on RS Forum

I want to give a tremendous THANK YOU to so many people on this forum who helped my husband and myself to have a wonderful trip to England in July 2017. I learned so much from reading hours upon hours of questions and answers, taking reams of notes, asking quiestions myself and getting answers. Our trip went smoothly thanks to you. We went from LHR by National Express Bus to Bath, toured it, did a Mad Max tour the next day with a train that evening to Oxford as a base for 3 more nights, train to Moreton-in-Marsh for a tour, next day Stratford-Upon-Avon, tour of Oxford, train to London and so much done in London. I was able to save a bundle on Advance tickets, understood the Oyster card and metro, advance tickets for the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's, and Winston Churchill War Rooms, to say the least from this forum. I learned about 2 for 1 (which we didn't use as some place we wanted to visit don't use them last two weeks of July ), "concessions"---use in England but not for museums and cathedrals on the Continent but can for metro in Greece and Spain as that is for EU residents. And so much more. So THANK YOU ALL WHO HELPED, esp. Nigel and Seat 61.

Pleased you came back to acknowledge the help you had. Some people don’t even come back and acknowledge that they have read the responses. When that happens, RS forums are likely to lose those that offer help.

Glad you had a wonderful trip.

Great city and it is true, Nigel rocks!!!

Have learned many wonderful and unique things about London over the years from him. Try always to meet up with him and his wife when I'm there.

A RS Traveler's Forum treasure.

Thanks to all. I only contribute a tiny part of what is learned by many here. The real appreciation must go to all those others who contribute so readily their specialist knowledge.

I will second all of the above. This forum is the definitive guide to travelling, especially in the in the UK, whether by road, rail, bus. I have been somewhat lax in acknowledging the forumers who have helped me over the years with many and varied queries. This is a belated and long overdue THANK YOU. Keep up the good work.
