In our letter from Rick Steves they said to be sure and bring the following:
“Wired headphones: If you wear a hearing aid, we strongly recommend bringing headphones that go over your ears to use with our audio guide system.”
What type of wired headphones and what is the audio guide system?

They are speaking of the “whisper system”. You are given a transmitter thingy to hear the tour guide as you’re walking. When I was on the Best of Paris tour 4 years ago, they offered earbuds or something that hung over the top of the ears. They then plugged into the system. I think they are suggesting that if you have a comfortable set of wired headphones you should bring them.
I have exceptionally small ear canals and every ear bud I have ever used just fall out of my ears. I used the over the ear style and it worked well.
