Winter Solstice at Stonehenge Tonight/Early Morning Tomorrow; livestream from English Heritage

Tune in to a livestream of the sunrise from Stonehenge beginning at 07:00 GMT on Thursday 22 December. Watch live on the official English Heritage YouTube channel.
Sunrise will be at 8:09 GMT.
Here's their website. Scroll down and click on the large red tab "YouTube Channel":

This livestream is not up and running yet, so you won't see anything unusual if you go to their YouTube Channel right now. (Except that they do have a lot of great videos.)

If you are watching from the USA, you will need to be awake in the wee early hours of the morning to see this event on their YouTube Channel. Adjust for your time zone in the USA if you'll be setting an alarm to get up for this, as I will.

Awesome! I watched this one year and it was very cool. Now all I have to do is stay up until 11PM, hahaha!!

Thank you for posting this! I've got it cued up.

I tuned in and all you saw were the backs of people blocking the view of Stonehenge.

Poor planning.

I always like to watch at least a few minutes of this every year. I don't necessarily get up in the middle of the night to catch it live; it's available after the fact on the English Heritage YouTube channel. This year the weather was rather foggy, so there was no dramatic sunrise, just gradual daylight.

It was foggy, so not as dramatic an appearance of the sun as in other years.
Still it was very atmospheric.
To be there on this day, at that moment, very special.
Lovely to see the pink edge on the clouds.
Here it is, for those who wish to see a replay:

I agree, Frank. I wish the camera person had been up higher on a ladder or platform to get a shot over the heads of the crowd.
The stones were blocked by the crowd at the angle used.
