Winter fun in Britain

The Times (London) today has a feature article on places for a "day out," festivals, & other winter things to do. "Wrap up, go out and embrace the season with our pick of Britain’s most cockle-warming events, attractions, ice rinks and Christmas markets."

I guess I'd say if you are investing in a trip to Britain and traveling all that distance, the inconvenience of having to set up a free Times reader account is minor by comparison. The enjoyment you might derive from visiting places highlighted in the article -- or by avoiding such places if they are not to your taste -- would be worth it.
