For anyone visiting the Lake District between 22 November and 24 December Winter at Sizergh is a new event, and is the first time Sizergh Hall (a National Trust property) has ever been open during the winter months.
It looks to be an exciting new addition to winter events in the Lake District.
In particular note that The Mountain Goat (well known here for their tours) are running a free shuttle bus at weekends from Oxenholme railway station and Kendal-again the first time Sizergh has had a bus service (there is a virtually never used stop on the A591 outside the estate).
