Windsor Hotel/B and B

We stayed at the George in Eton for one night earlier this month between flights at Heathrow. It’s a nearly 300 year old pub that rents 8 rooms upstairs. Our room looked out across the bridge to Windsor Castle, a 15 minute walk away. I spent quite a bit of time looking for a place in Windsor/Eton that was centrally located, charming, but not too expensive in a pretty expensive town. This one fit the bill for us. Obviously, the rooms are older, but nicely outfitted, although our floor sloped down in one area. WiFi was super! Great pub...very busy the evening we arrived. We were lucky to find a table back in the garden. A cooked (ordered off a menu) breakfast is included if you pay the cancellable (slightly higher) booking rate when you reserve a room.

Great option for overnight stay before a flight only about 20 - 30 minutes car ride.

Years ago, we stayed at Alma Lodge B & B and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s within walking distance to all the shop and the castle.

Travelodge was good. Near restaurants, shops, and had a very affordable laundry pick up and delivery service.

We stayed at the Charles House last year. Very nice and reasonable.

I stayed at Rainworth Bed and Breakfast a few years ago- it was clean and comfortable, and easy to get to the airport with our rental car.
