Hi, Coming to Windsor end of July. Wanting to know what time is the best time to buy the tickets for the Castle. Will be there on a Saturday. Can anyone suggest a nice hotel to stay in Windsor of Eaton? We are on foot. Also best breakfast, lunch and dinner spots?

Tickets don't sell out particularly far in advance, but morning tickets on a Saturday are the first to go so if it were me, I'd book them once my plans were locked in.
Hotel - the Sir Christopher Wren is nice, and convenient for walking both in Windsor and Eaton.
For lunch I like the Ivy, just.opposite the castle.

Thank you so much! I just booked my tickets because we are going to be there Saturday! You confirmed the hotel that I was looking at. I was also looking at the Castle Hotel! I like the idea of it being on the river! What is your favorite dinner place or have you been there at dinner time?

We haven't been there at dinner, but the Ivy would fine. There are numerous other restaurants. Are you there just for the Saturday? It's worth noting that Windsor is very quiet on days the castle is closed with shops opening later in some cases.
