Do you guys know if there is a tour that can be done of just Windsor Castle? I know there is an audio tour but my friend would really like a tour guide. We aren't interested in all the package ones that go to Stoneh. and Bath. We don't want to do all that traveling. I can't seem to readily find one of just the castle although I'm sure there is.
Do you know of any that you'd recommend?

Groups of 15 can book a private tour of the castle in the evenings but this won't work for you.
You could hire a blue badge guide to take you round but this would be eye wateringly expensive. Googling has highlighted two and there may be others. I've not done this so can't comment on whether they are worth it...

It appears London Walks did a trip to Windsor Castle and Eton once this summer. There may be one or more tours next year, but it's obvious you'd have to be incredibly lucky for their timing to fit your schedule. Still, I'm providing this link, because London Walks is a highly respected company on this forum, and its guides are licensed. The website mentions the possibility of arranging a private tour, but I would expect that to be expensive, as already mentioned. I have taken over 10 London Walks tours within the London itself. They were all very good, and (as group tours) they were very reasonably priced.
