Any recommendations for a private or semiprivate tour guide? Tia

I visited Windsor Castle in March…my experience was that a very well done audio guide was included with my entry ticket. I didn’t see any guided groups, large or small….I don’t think they are allowed in the Castle. As I was with a relative who lives in near Windsor, I didn’t buy my ticket, but I do know that she purchased our tickets on the Royal Collection Trust’s website (www.rct.uk) ahead of time, and she mentioned that they’re timed tickets with just a bit of wiggle room (so no crowds, just a bit of a line for Queen Victoria’s doll house). I’m not sure how tours leaving from London are handled, but those seem to be transportation with the self-guided tour on your own. I took the train from Victoria station in London to the Windsor and Eton Riverside station, which is just a short walk to the entry point for Windsor Castle. The surrounding town of Windsor is nice to see, and there is a wonderful little pub, The Two Brewers…it’s at the end of the street where The Long Walk ends at the gates to the Castle. The staff at the Castle is so very helpful and everyone seems genuinely pleased to answer questions, etc. Absolutely worth a visit!
