Heading to Windsor for the day from London.
Any recommendations about touring Windsor castle ?

Make sure you buy your tickets in advance. The lines can be very long to buy them in person.

FYI - per communication with the castle directly, they are closed for an event on June 22nd. 3rd party sites such as Viator are still selling tours for that day but you will not be able to access the castle. Best to book tickets via the castle directly as their info is accurate.

The last couple times we were there was in December so there were no lines. If you’re asking whether one needs to visit on a guided tour, no.
