Wimbledon tickets

My family of five will be in London July 4 through the 12th and we would like the opportunity to see some matches at Wimbledon.. Any suggestions on how to update tickets?

Also, where in London will many of the professional athletes stay and dine?

To get into Wimbledon you will have to join The Queue. I use capital letters as it's quite a thing. People camp overnight or arrive at, like, 5am in order to get on-the-day ground passes or tickets. If that sounds like fun to you, details are here: http://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/tickets/the_queue.html

If not, superb wall-to-wall coverage on BBC TV, and you'll find it on big screens around London too. I spent a nice afternoon last year on a deck chair in Granary Square near Kings Cross watching a match on the big screen.

Most big-name players rent a house near Wimbledon and have their meals at home, I suspect. There's certainly not a particular restaurant where you'd expect to see players during Wimbledon.

There are a limited number of tickets sold the day before via Ticketmaster. They go quickly.

If you don't want to spend the whole day there usually is the late afternoon queue from around 3:30pm which gains admission after 5pm.
