Will a BritRailPass be best for our itinerary?

My wife and I will be traveling to England in mid May. We anticipate a total of seven rail trips over this period of 19 days, two of which would be round-trips during a single day:
Heathrow - Bath
Portsmouth - London
London - Canterbury (round trip)
London - York (round trip)
London - Heathrow
Would a BritRailPass be most economical in this case or should we just buy individual tickets in advance of our trip?

Also, can a Senior Pass be combed with the BritRailPass?

Thanks.
