Which train service to take from Gatwick to Covent Gardens

Hello

Am travelling to London with my wife

Arriving on Sat June 28th at 8am local time and hotel is in the Seven Dials area

Arriving at Gatwick and was wondering what is the best train to get : Gatwick Express vs Southern to take to hotel.

Thanks in advance

Gatwick Express is about twice the price of Southern but only about 3 minutes quicker.

Getting from Victoria to Covent Garden tube station is a bit awkward- from memory, the Victoria line to Piccadilly line interchange at Green Park involves a fair bit of walking. But at least it’s underground and dry!

Covent Garden, Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road all service the Seven Dials area. Would you like to give us a hint as to which hotel so we can give you good directions?

Each station gets different directions.

Thameslink train to Kings Cross/St Pancras then three stops on a southbound Picadilly line Tube gets you to Covent Garden station

Above is correct-- you don't want either the Express or the Southern, you want Thameslink. But change station will be different if you want Tottenham Court Road instead of Covent Garden.

For Thameslink, changing to Elizabeth line at Farringdon might be smoother than at Kings Cross.
