Which is Better For Pre Raphaelite Art The Liverpool Walker or the Port Sunlight Lady Lever?

The title is most of the question. We will be in Chester three nights in September. We are planning a day trip to Liverpool and or Port Sunlight. The question is which city or both should a pair of Pre-Raphaelite fans with an interest in history do given a single day.

If we did just Port Sunlight, we'd do the Village Museum too. If we did just Liverpool, we'd also do The Beatles' Story, the Western Approaches Museum, and possibly the International Slavery Museum. If we did both, we'd do the Lever followed by the Walker, and then think about other Liverpool sights if time permitted.

Can not answer about Port Sunlight, but you can’t go wrong at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. I’ve been to Liverpool 7 times and still haven’t seen everything yet. It’s an amazing city. Since you’re interested in history, there’s also the bombed out church, a church where the interior was destroyed in World War II but the exterior still stands.

Thank you Emma. We probably won't make up our minds until the day we go, which will be the 9th or 10th of September. If the trains are slowed by construction or stopped, we will probably just bus to Liverpool as that looks easier than busing to Port Sunlight.

Dale: do you have a name or location for the bombed out church?
