Which app to use for London bus route and tube?
I used CityMapper for both Paris and London last spring. It gave me accurate walking routes and good Metro/Tube routes and info. I like that it tells you which car to get on in the Tube/Metro.
I always use CityMapper
you can also use Google and Google maps, the info is widely available
Another vote for city mapper. It tells you how to walk to nearest bus stop, gives you real time data when traveling, and even alerts you when to get off.
Citymapper works better than Google Maps.
I found City Mapper better than TfL even though it is the official app.
Thanks everyone. At airport now
AND….just adding…I use CityMapper because Kim in Paris told me to! 😉😁
I was in London last week and used Google Maps and the Tfl apps and they worked well for me.
Another vote for Citymapper.
I have the TFL app but didn’t use it at all when I was there a week ago. Google maps worked just fine when I wanted to know which bus to take.
Maybe I am the outlier, or have used the system enough, but for the tube, I just find a couple stops near where I want to go, look at a map in the station, find a stop that requires the fewest changes, hop on and go. Never really needed an app for the underground. Now the buses, with no great map and many more options, Google maps does a great job directing me to the best route
