Why?
You do realise that buses and coaches are generally slower, less comfortable, less frequent and serve fewer destinations than trains. They are however cheaper.

The Hilton Doubletree is very well located. My wife and stayed there on points for five nights in 2013. It might be on the expensive side though without Hilton points.

I've stayed at the Grosvenor Hotel on Buckingham Palace Road and it's an old world grand hotel. Very close by, very convenient.

The last two times in that we have actually used the Best Western. Quite nice and reasonable.

I’ve stayed at Luna Simone in the past. For my upcoming trip, they were booked so I’m staying at Cherry Court Hotel. I have 2 day trips booked out of Victoria Coach Station as well so happy to be staying close by.

We also stayed at the Lime Tree. Its right around the corner from the coach station. Pastry shop on the way.

Another vote for Lime Tree altho they do fill up. They also do not have AC so if you are going in the summer you might consider one of the other suggestions. It is literally 1/2 a block from the Coach arrivals station and about a block from the coach departures terminal.
If you are coming in from Heathrow it's very convenient to take the National Express coach in to town as well.
