Any suggestions on staying 2 days in York England Prefer Bed and Breakfast small hotel. Thanks! Cody
We stayed at the Abbey Guest House (not the same as the Abbeyfileds Guest house which pops up first on Google), short walk from train station and to the center of town. Small, family run traditional B&B.
Yes, do a search on top of the screen to see a whole host of recommendations including our favorite, Gillygate Guest House.
My husband and I also stayed at the Abbey Guest House the last time we were in York. As already noted, it’s a short walk from the train station and to the center of town; also, it sits right on the river Ouse, giving a wonderful peaceful view of the flatboats and ducks.
It is a small hotel, with a great breakfast. Breakfast is extra but very cheap. Also, the hotel has parking.
It is located just a couple of blocks from the gate to the city near the Minster Cathedral. The price is great, about $115 per night.
We had a fabulous stay at The Bar Convent. Included a fabulous breakfast as well! Walking distance into town and near the train station.
