where to stay April 2019

Spending 3 days in London over Easter this April. Searching for AirBnbs but am unsure about what neighborhoods to stick to. Also interested in advice on things to do and places to see!
Thank you!

Good advice in the book - hundreds of pages of it. Too much to write here. Consider that the neighbourhoods in the book would be good neighbourhoods for you to stay in.

Won't you be in Ireland over Easter?

we'll leave ireland to come to London on Easter Sunday so a little bit of both!! I think easter will affect us more in Ireland than London. I haven't bought the England book yet but am planning on it for sure!

Basically with only 3 days in London you want to be somewhere within the tube (Underground) system, preferably close to a Circle Line station. That way you won't be wasting time "commuting" from your hotel to the places of interest around central London. You'll likely pay more to be in a central location, but consider the tradeoff in lost time and potentially higher transport fares if you were to stay somewhere out toward the suburbs.

Any central location will be fine - Southbank, Covent Garden, Marylebone, Pimlico, South Kensington, Bloomsbury etc etc. It’s school holidays, so you are a bit late to get the best deals and choice.

Note that by law in England, all shops must close on Easter Sunday. Plus, as it’s a long Bank Holiday weekend, rail transport maybe disrupted due to engineering works.

Things to do and places to see - what are your interests? Museums? Modern art? Not so modern art?Parks? Shopping? Theatre? History? Churches? Wildlife? Start by googling “72 hours in London” to give you plenty of suggestions.
