My husband is immunocompromised and must drink purified water/water that is not well water also not spring water. It's easy to find in the US but I am wondering about England. Also, is Gatorade sold in England?
Look for Gatorade in Sainsbury or Tesco grocers.
You can take gatorade packets or powder with you, if concerned.
What water do you drink at home? Purified could mean a few different things.
Thanks everyone. I've ordered Pedialyte and Gatorade powder from Amazon. That solves that issue. We'll just look for bottled purified water in the English supermarkets.
I think you probably know already that sometimes distilled-water gallons are in the baby-aisle or the health-and-beauty aisle. In Belgium, I've seen it in the housewares aisle, next to scented water for steam irons.
Are you resident somewhere other than the U.S.? In the US, it appears that the words "Purified Water" are not a regulated term. It's often used to "admit" that the water is not [normally, more desirable (?)] natural spring water, but simply treated municipal water. I don't see how the word "purified" is clear enough to protect your husband. I'm assuming these are doctor's orders, not just a personal preference.
Tim, my husband's medical team is who stated he must drink only purified water which is regulated by the FDA which regulates the safety of bottled water. We also live in NJ. The brands we typically buy are Nestle or Aquafina.
There is actually very little market for bottled tap water in Britain such as what Aquafina is. Seen as a rip off. Coke tried with Dasani but it had to be withdrawn in around a month through too high a level of bromate and because they claimed it was 'pure' although minerals were added to it so they were under investigation by Trading Standards.
You can get Nestle Pure Life, but it is a spring water product here, bottled at source.
If you want deionised water look in the household or motoring sections.
