What towns in the UK have a congestion charge?

We will be traveling through England, Wales and Scotland before ditching the rent a car and spending the last 10 nights in London.

I just want to know ahead of time where we need to be conscious of congestion charges. I think there is one in Durham and that was one of our stops.

please tell me what I need to know.

What is your itinerary? I don't remember seeing a thread in which you posted your planned route, but maybe I overlooked it. Durham and London are the only ones I've heard of, but there may be more.

Above has the London details, it's between certain hours, etc. (in case you ditch the car after arriving in London)

This looks like it has a link to other areas in the country, sorted by region

This Urban Access page has a link to a site called Traveline, and then also to the other regions.
I would bet that your car rental company, at least its manager, could advise you with the most current information as well.

Have a great trip!

When we arrive, we go to Windsor, then to Stonehenge and further into Cornwall to then end up at St. Michael's Mount. After touring around the area, we head to Bath for a day then to Cardiff, after that a day driving through the Cotswolds and after that heading to Conwy.

After Conwy we head to Keswick, From Keswick to Oban and Fort William, Then a day on the Isle of Sky.

From there to see Eilean Donan Castle and Loch Ness before we spend a few days in Inverness. From Inverness we head to Edinburgh for a few, then a stop at Hadrian's Wall (not sure where the best place to see if you can only see one spot) and then onto York for a few days then to Dover and Caterbury before we ditch the car and head into London for 10 days. It's a 32 day trip at this point.

We know it will not be a lot of time in each place and we will only have a small taste of each place, it will have to do as I want mom to see all she wants to and we won't be hiking or climbing to the top of anything LOL.

We will have the car rental for 20 or 21 days. in London it's all Oyster cards.

Bath has a few "no go" areas where only commercial vehicles and taxis are allowed. I don't remember them exactly as I didn't drive there but you might want to look it up. If you drive in, a camera will take a photo of your license plate and you will get a ticket in the mail.

I hope you like motorways because with your schedule you will be seeing a lot of them. Mostly them.
