What Hotel Do You Recommend?

We have already booked our hotels, but more and more I think one of our hotels in London (although very good reviews) is not that good location wise. do you have any suggestions for a Hotel that is good and very well located ?
thank you in advance

We were very happy with our Hub Premier Westminster hotel. Breakfast is inexpensive, our room was very well designed to be efficient - I chose the slightly larger room for two. We mostly used the St.James tube station, but also the Westminster one.

There are only a few hundred and maybe a 1000 or more hotels to chose from. We always stay in the Victoria Station area. Recently it has been the Best Western Victoria Station in the annex. It isn't very sexy but it is convenient with good restaurants in the area.

I’ve gone to London for decades.

The Underground is a great way to get from point A to point B. So are your on 2 feet.

Curious as to why you don’t think one of the hotels you’ve chosen is not good “ location wise.”

We always stay at the Hampton by Hilton Water!ok only block.and half.from Waterloo Station..Very comfortable beds and great breakfast offering. Plenty of hot and cold items. Only ate in their restaurant one night and it was very good.

If time is limited (i.e., if your trip is short and your want-to-see list is long), the best hotel depends to some degree on what specific sights you intend to visit. As an example, I chose the Premier Inn Holborn on my most recent trip to London because I knew I'd be making many trips to the British Museum, which was a nice walk from the hotel. That location is typically a bit more expensive than many of the other centrally located Premier Inns in London, so it wouldn't necessarily be the most logical choice for a visitor not planning a bunch of visits to the British Museum.

I stayed next door to the hotel Jean mentioned - The Sanctuary House Hotel. I agree that it's a fantastic location and the proximity to St. James's Park tube station was really convenient.

Would you mind telling us what hotel you originally planned to use and the area so we get an idea of what you mean by "not that good location wise?"

Budget?

The sites in London are spread out.

As a brand I like Locke hotels -- https://www.lockeliving.com/en
There are six Locke hotels across London and I'm personally fond of Locke-at-Broken-Wharf.

My thought has always been that London has well connected public transit and all the sites are spread across the city, so I've never thought of a central-to-it-all location as being important. But that's just me.

Thank you all for responding . I initially booked Park Plaza county hall. VAP I am going to check the Locke hotels as well.

The County Hall hotels are actually quite well located. You can easily get to Waterloo station and Underground so trains plus Northern Line and Jubilee Line and Bakerloo Line too. And an easy walk across the Thames on Westminster Bridge to Westminster Underground for Circle Line and District Line and Jubilee Line too. Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Victoria Embankment, and buses go everywhere....

It’s easy to get anywhere from the Park Plaza. What aren’t you happy about specifically?

I thought that location was excellent. I loved how it was easy to walk everywhere, lively at night, but quiet in the morning. Close to the tube and train station.
