Our Airbnb for a summer trip got cancelled on us. We were planning to stay near Westminster. As we relook options we found some near Hyde park (overlooking Ear's court square). Is this a good location ?. Seems quite far from our previous place.

Yes Westminster is closer but from the Earl’s Court neighborhood it’s only 20 minutes on the Tube to Westminster. Many Americans stay in the Earl’s Court neighborhood. Via Google map I see that Earl Court Square is a 5 minute walk to the Earl’s Court Tube Station.
I presumed Ear’s Court Square was a typo.
And BTW Hyde Park is a 15 minute walk to the Palace.
The London Underground is a brilliant means of public transport. Use it.
Earls Court Square is about a five minute walk from the Earls Court Underground Station.
It's on a residential street with shops and restaurants a few minutes walk away.
It's a much quieter area than Westminster but as stated no more than 20 minutes by tube to most things.
I stay a couple of blocks away and have been for years. I was there last month and I'll be back next month. If you have any questions on the area, let me know.
