Watford Junction/Time Warner studio tour

Heading from London to Leavesden with my daughter and granddaughter for an afternoon/evening tour of the warner bothers studio. We are looking for a lunch spot before we start. Any recommendations for local places or should we eat in London before we get on train? Thanks

What Emma said. There is a tiny snack bar on platform 6 at Watford Junction, coffees and similar only, there is a tiny WH Smiths in the booking hall there, with a few pre-pack sandwiches and crisps. That's it. A several minute walk towards the shopping mall will yield a Nandos. There is a food court of sorts in the shopping mall but that is way out of your way.

In London there is a lot of food available in and adjacent to Euston Station. Sit down at an Italian, French or Nandos, or a couple of pubs. Perch at a burrito place, an ITSU, a Paul hollywood bakery, a Pret a Manger, two Caffe Neros and a Starbucks, two Marks and Spencers foods, a Sainsbury's supermarket, a burger place, a Leon, and take away from Burger King, a chain fish and chips, a Cornwall Pasty, and several others. Across the street is a Friends (Quaker) Meeting House with a cafe and the Wellcome Museum with its cafe. Drummond Street adjacent to the station has a whole street of Indian restaurants.

There's nobody starving at Euston if they have a couple of pounds to play with or so...

I went on the studio tour back in 2013 so doublecheck on the website as things may have changed. Back then there was a big cafeteria with decent food right at the entrance. There’s also a huge gift shop that you can while away the time if you get there early. In the middle if the tour, there was a snack bar where butterbeer is available. Maybe someone that has visited more recently can chime in.

There are a lot of options at the Euston station, but not much at Watford. Maybe someone will know of a nicer place near Euston station.

We were there June 7th of this year. Our tour was an early one, so we ate lunch at the studio cafeteria, mid-way through the tour. We thought the dining options were pretty good for a cafeteria. I had a nice salad, my husband had the soup, and our daughter had a salad as well. Of course, it is a bit more expensive there, but we appreciated the convenience. Enjoy the tour--we loved it!
