Warner Brothers Studios-Harry Potter

Suggestions for visiting Warner Brothers-Harry Potter Studios outside London. We plan to travel by train in August from London.

What suggestions are you looking for? The trains leave frequently, from Euston, IIRC. You will want to buy your studio well in advance (several months). No need to buy your train tickets in advance. The HP Studios website has good instructions on how to get there. It's a pretty full day if you're a HP fan. I think we arrived around 10 am and were there about 6 hours.

Thanks that answers some of my questions. I was wondering the amount of time the studio tours takes. Is the bus to the studios from Watford station waiting for train arrivals? When leaving does the bus line up well with train departures. It is one ticket to visit the entire studio?

I have been twice (both pre COVID) and this was my experience both times. The HP bus was waiting in the parking lot of the train station when we got off the train so that was easy. The tour took a full three+ hours and of that two hours were spend in the first section with all the props and movie sets. I don't recall having to wait for the train so I guess the bus back was approximately timed for that but I don't really recall for sure. It's a great activity and you will love it...as long as you get your tickets!!

The train back from Watford Junction to London Euston is very frequent- you will never be waiting more than 10 or 15 minutes

We went a couple of weeks ago and spent about 4-5 hours there. We took the bus from Victoria Station. No need to do this but the kids wanted to ride the double decker Harry Potter bus so we did. We ended up spending almost an hour on lunch at the Backlot in the middle of the tour because of the huge line and having to wait for an open table. The line for the butter beer was short and quick so you could just get that and move on. I’d eat a big breakfast or get something at the cafeteria in the main hall before you start the tour if you need to so you don’t waste any time. The food was 1000x better too. No line and plenty of seating when we went. If you are traveling with small kids, definitely look out for them because the place is full of 30 something “kids” in costumes not watching where they are going. Both of mine were hit in the face with bags and stepped on numerous times by selfie takers and pushed out of the way if they were up front. Hopefully it was just an off day. I’ve never seen the movies or read the books and besides the extreme fandom of many of the guests, I still found it fun.
